LGBTQ: RESOURCE LIST
PUT THIS ON THE {MAP} is a Washington State-based educational organization focusing on LGBTQ
issues. This organization’s team of educators provides trainings and workshops for teachers, school
districts, social service providers, healthcare workers and community-based organizations across
Washington State and beyond.
PUT THIS ON THE MAP offers a 34-minute documentary video featuring the
voices of 24 young people. This documentary will provide important perspective to all who are working
to improve our schools and communities for LGBTQ youth.

Gay-Straight Alliance Network is a youth leadership organization that connects school-based Gay-
Straight Alliances (GSAs) to each other and to community resources. It provides peer support, leadership
development and training.
Advocates for Youth is dedicated to creating programs and advocating for policies that help young
people make informed and responsible decisions about their reproductive and sexual health.

- YouthResource is a website hosted by the organization Advocates for Youth. This site was
created by and for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (GLBTQ) young people.
YouthResource is designed to take a holistic approach to sexual health and exploring issues of
concern to GLBTQ youth, by providing information and offering support concerning sexual and

- AmbienteJoven is a Spanish-language Web site for Latino/a gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender
and questioning (GLBTQ) youth in the United States and Latin America. AmbienteJoven's peer
educators provide culturally relevant information and support on sexual health issues. The site

- MySistahs is also a project of Advocates for Youth. This web site was created by and for young
women of color to provide information and offer support on sexual and reproductive health
issues through education and advocacy.
Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians & Gays (PFLAG) is a national non-profit organization with
