This video excerpt here was developed by the Washington State-based group PUT THIS ON THE {MAP}. The youth you will hear speaking in the video represent a group of twenty-six young people who participated in the filming of PUT THIS ON THE {MAP}’s ground-breaking 34- minute documentary. In the documentary, these courageous youth candidly share their stories of social isolation, violence, fearlessness and liberation. Their voices should move an audience not only to self reflection but also to action.
The candid views the youth express in this video excerpt focus on our schools and our work as teachers. Their views are important for all of us who seek to better serve LGBTQ youth in our schools.
