Throughout Shaolin's history, the monks sprouted as the best philosophers, generals, ministers, and poets. The Shaolin Temple had a significant impact on China's history. This makes the temple a very notable cultural landmark for China as it has been around for hundreds of years although it may have a very controversial history. Listed are important eras of the Shaolin Temple.
