Philosophy

Ch'an, or Zen Buddhism, is a significant element of the Shaolin culture. During the time of development in society in Europe, many Asian beliefs and religions were often mixed together. This gradually led to an intricate composition of both Taoism and Buddhism philosophies, religion and ideas. Thus, Taoism and Buddhism offered depictions of religious and non-religious beliefs, meaning that Shaolin monks believe in divine figures and/or the essence of nature itself.
