Kristen Farris is a research coordinator in the UW Division of Gerontology & Geriatric Medicine who has worked with Dr. Angela Hanson on her clinical trials since the fall of 2020. She will be pivoting her role to coordinate the Evoke+ study at the UW ADRC. "While Dr. Hanson and I are continuing to work on her clinical trials, we are also very excited to be taking on this new project and expanding our connection with the ADRC!," says Kristen. She splits her time between the Research and Teaching Building, Harborview's 9th and Jefferson Building, UW Medical Center, and the South Lake Union Campuses, so she suggests her colleagues email or text her if they are looking for her!
"I'm looking forward to learning more about the industry-sponsored side of research, as well as working with a much larger team for the Evoke+ study. For the last two years, Angela and I have mostly been a two-man team, so it will be exciting to be working with a larger community of research staff."
Previously, Kristen was a Research Assistant on the Allergy and Infectious Diseases/Solid Organ Transplant research team. She has also been helping out with the ADRC Clinical Trials team as a blinded rater. Outside of work, Kristen loves to read, cook, play board games, and travel. Her favorite activity is going hiking with her dog, Twyla.
