Melanie Burke, PhD started her career as a postdoctoral fellow in UW Department of Physiology/Biophysics and became a Senior Scientist in the UW Department of Neurology, Multiple Sclerosis Research Center.  Dr. Burke is the ADRC Clinical Research Program Manager for Clinical Trials and Clinical Core.  She manages the operations of the MBWC Clinical Trials Program with a goal of optimizing both Clinical Trials and the Clinical Core in aspects related to integration of workflow and cross-recruitment, fiscal management, and data analytics and metrics.

Research Interests

  • Dementia disorders including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Multiple Sclerosis.
  • Functional MRI imaging of neurodegeneration and compensatory mechanisms prior to clinical manifestation of disease.
