We know that changes in thinking and memory can impact the way that people interact with friends and family. As healthcare providers, we need to learn more about patients' communication experiences so that we can develop better ways to help in the future. The University of Washington SPEAC lab is inviting individuals who have concerns about or have been diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or dementia to answer questions about their communication experiences. Participants are also asked to have at least one family member or friend answer separate survey questions.
Your participation will help healthcare providers support people with thinking changes and the important people in their lives to stay connected through communication. This is an online survey that will take about 45-60 minutes. People with MCI/dementia and their family/friends will complete SEPARATE surveys. The survey is open to anyone in the U.S.
Each participant will receive $25 for completing the surveys.
