If a Rocky Planet Has a Lot of Methane in its Atmosphere, Life is the Most Likely Cause

UWAB student Nick Wogan (ESS), along with Alumni Josh Krissansen-Totton (PhD ESS and Astrobiology, 2019) and their faculty advisor, Prof. David Catling (ESS), recently published their paper “Abundant atmospheric methane from volcanism on terrestrial planets is unlikely and strengthens the case for methane as a biosignature” in the Planetary Science Journal, and it was also recently highlighted in an article on Universe Today!
