Medicaid and Medicare are two different programs. Medicaid is a state-run program that provides hospital and medical coverage for people with low income. Medicare is a federally funded medical insurance for individuals aged 65 and older or individuals receiving Social Security Disability. Some people qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid.
