As we know, My group and I (Star Viewing) went to the UW Planetarium and collaborated with Dave Ingram. As a group, we held an educational event on the effects of light pollution on the Night Sky. Through this action group project we learned a lot about how we as humans, in the Anthropocene may be responsible for disrupting our natural night sky,
I am posting a link below that I have created from a candid video of the event. To understand the video you need to turn your volume up. I created this piece of art to depict a social message, this message being that light pollution is effecting us globally. If you listen to the sounds of the video, you can hear the sound of me turning a lamp on and off, the static of light, and the lighting of a lantern. This sound was recorded with a marantz sound recorder. These devices are extremely sensitive and capture sound at very low volume. I hope you guys enjoy.
