The University of Washington Autism Center (UWAC) hosts a support group for UWAC families. The group is open to caregivers of all clients 12 and under who are currently receiving services at the UWAC, including but not limited to: applied behavior analysis (ABA) services, speech-language therapy and/or summer camp. In addition, caregivers of children who received an autism diagnosis in the past 3 years at UWAC who are either awaiting or receiving support services elsewhere are welcome. Again, children must be 12 and under.*

The group is facilitated by Sarah Hoff, MA, LMHC, a mental health counselor with expertise in working with families of autistic kids and support/navigation of services in the early years. Sarah is a licensed counselor in the state of Washington who has worked with children with autism and their families for several years.

This is meant to be a safe and supportive space for group members to share experience, ask questions, and support one another without judgment.

The group meets twice a month on Mondays from 11am-12pm via Zoom starting up again on Monday, January 8. Suggested donation of $10 per week of attendance can be made here: https://give.uwmedicine.org/give/?source=CHDDAT&appeal=MWEIS). Donations are always appreciated and help us run support programs like this group. Please indicate in the note section that this donation is for the support group.

Please send inquiries to Sarah Hoff at skhoff2@uw.edu or register to get the Zoom link at https://redcap.iths.org/surveys/?s=XCT8LJ33EAHCRE4D. We hope to see many of you there!

*We will collect information on interest for parents/caregivers of older children and hold a group at a later date if there is enough interest.
