Dr. Caitlin Latimer is a neuropathologist and co-leads the ADRC's Precision Neuropathology Core. Her research will focus on the role of the synapse in neurodegenerative disease with the goal of understanding the changes that occur at the earliest stages of disease and how these changes differ in individuals without neurodegenerative disease. She will also work with neuroimaging experts to bridge the gap between neuroradiology and neuropathology to help enhance targeted sampling through the use of neuroimaging data and techniques. She also led the 2016-2017 ADRC Pilot Project Human and Non-Human Primate Synaptic Damage
