Dr. Shelly Gray is a pharmacoepidemiologist with a long-standing research program focused on examining the associations of medication exposures and Alzheimer's disease risk as a co-investigator in the Adult Changes in Thought Study (ACT). Given that medication use could be a modifiable risk factor for AD, exploring these associations is an important first step. She aims to disseminate her research findings to patients and healthcare providers in a clinically meaningful way. She also has an interest in improving medication safety for older adults with dementia through deprescribing of unnecessary medications.
