IWW Yearbooks of Strikes, Campaigns, and Arrests 1905-1924

These yearbooks provide a day-by-day database of hundreds of strikes, protests, campaigns involving IWW members and hundreds more arrests, prosecutions, and beatings targetting the Wobblies. Event descriptions are based on detailed research in contemporary newspapers, especially the IWW's official periodicals: Industrial Union Bulletin, Industrial Worker, Solidarity, and New Solidarity.

Historians usually focus on a handful of key strikes and confrontations, but our yearbooks show the wide scope of the IWW's activities. Our maps of events displays the geographic distribution of these activities. Most of these actions are also included in our interactive database that allows you to filter by location, year, and type of event.

Each year is presented separately. Click the links below to see the full database of events and read a "labor highlights" report about the year.
