2020 Young Investigator Research Grant 

Application Deadline: Tuesday, October 1, 2019
 
Purpose: Established in 2009 by Blas Frangione, MD, PhD, Professor Emeritus of Pathology and Psychiatry, the Frangione Foundation supports research in neuroscience. The 2020 Young Investigator Grant aims to fund the next generation of exceptionally creative thinkers with “high-risk/high-reward” ideas, who have the potential to significantly impact our understanding of brain function in normal and diseased states.
 
Award Value: A 2-year award, totaling $100,000 with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2020. 
 
Eligibility: Applications are encouraged from early career scientists active in research within the field of neuroscience, brain aging, Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative conditions. Qualified applicants can hold any level of faculty appointment. Both U.S. and non-U.S. citizens are welcome to apply.
 
INTERNAL SELECTION PROCESS
 
Submit a project proposal following the R03 NIH format to Marlena Gordon by October 1, 2019. The awardee will be notified on December 1, 2019.
