ADRC Seminar Series for October 10, 2022

Presenter: Alison Fohner, PhD, Assistant Professor, UW Epidemiology

Title: Proteomic signatures associated with rate of cognitive decline in genetically-defined risk groups

Dr. Alison Fohner is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Associate Director of the Institute for Public Health Genetics at the UW. She has broad expertise in genomics, pharmaceutics, bioethics, and data science. She is passionate about improving population health by discovering sources of interindividual variability in disease risk and treatment response, and by translating those discoveries into better screening and targeted treatment. She recently received a K01 award from the NIA to identify early protein biomarkers in Alzheimer's disease and cognitive decline using a multi-omic approach. She is an Investigator with the UW ADRC REC.
