Description:

Over the past several years online platforms have emerged for enabling research in Alzheimer's Disease.  These include the Alzheimer's Disease Data Initiative (ADDI) workbench, Nightingale Open Science, Sage Synapse and others.  In this presentation, we will present existing platforms and will do a deep dive into each.  We will demonstrate ADDI and their workbench and some potential use cases for leveraging the platform.  We will also introduce Nightingale, an emergent clinical research data sharing platform developed at UC Berkeley and becoming utilized at a number of national sites.  We will also discuss Flywheel and other tools that are enabling data availability.  Open challenges and opportunities will be discussed as well.  This presentation will be less formal than a seminar and active discussion will be encouraged.
