The University of Washington Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) will be hosting its second Brain Health and Community Resource Fair at the El Centro de la Raza’s Centilia Cultural Center, Saturday August 5th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. 

This free event will be geared towards Spanish and/or English-speaking Latino or Hispanic adults that are 55 years old or older. The goal of the interactive fair is to provide the opportunity to learn more about the importance of brain health and aging, learn about the nationwide effort to improve the detection and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, raise awareness of new research opportunities, and share information on local community resources. 

While much of the event focuses on adults 55 years and older, we encourage registered participants to bring along friends or family members that may also be interested in learning about memory and brain health. The four-hour event will include an hourly raffle, free lunch, and a $100 Visa gift card for registered participants that complete the pre and post survey.
