Ellen M. Wijsman, Ph.D.

Ellen M. Wijsman, EllenWijsmanProfessor, received a B.S. in Biology (1975), from Michigan State University, and Ph.D. in Population Genetics (1981), from the Genetics Department at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She holds a joint appointment in the Department of Biostatistics, and the Division of Medical Genetics, Department of Medicine. She is also an adjunct faculty in the Department of Genome Sciences.

She currently serves on the Emerging Genetic Studies advisory panel of the Jackson Heart Study, on the NHLBI Large-Scale genotyping cohorts oversights committee, on the Observational Study Monitoring Board for the National Registry of Genetically Triggered Thoracic Aortic Aneurysms and Cardiovascular Conditions, and on the Genetic Analysis Workshop advisory committee.
