If you’re creating digital or print collateral that represents UW Medicine, Strategic Marketing can help you ensure it meets our visual design and editorial standards. 

After you have submitted the form below, a team member will contact you if we need more information. Please allow at least 5 business days for brand review. You may also email  uwmmktg@uw.edu 

What is included in brand review? 

Strategic Marketing’s creative team will examine your project to ensure it meets UW Medicine’s editorial style and visual design guidelines. This includes a general examination of all graphic elements, logos, colors, fonts, photos, and design usage. The editorial team will review language, voice and tone. 

We will provide guidance on how to fix issues but will not make rewrites or design changes. 

Brand review does not include: 

  • Creating assets
  • Implementing design changes 
  • Copywriting or rewriting 
  • Proofreading 
  • Fact-checking, such as calling phone numbers or checking links 

Important: It is up to the collateral piece creator to proofread and fact-check all final content.  

What should be reviewed by Strategic Marketing? 

  • Collateral that is prepared for marketing to external audiences, such as patients or the public 
  • Collateral uses UW Medicine brand elements, such as logo or photography 
  • Collateral will be professionally printed or used as a paid advertisement 
  • Collateral will be used for longer than 2 weeks
