Alvin Kwiram receives Hopkins Faculty Award

Emeritus Professor Alvin Kwiram received the 2007-08 Paul B. Hopkins Faculty Award. Kwiram is the Executive Director Emeritus of the NSF-funded Science and Technology Center for Materials and Devices for Information Technology Research (STC-MDITR), as well as Vice-Provost Emeritus for the UW Office of Research. As part of his award, Kwiram will present a seminar to members of the Department of Chemistry, and a reception will be held in his honor.

The Paul B. Hopkins Faculty Award honors the outstanding accomplishments made by a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry in any area of professional responsibility. The award was endowed by Emeritus Professor B. S. Rabinovitch to recognize the past and continuing achievements of Paul B. Hopkins, Professor and Chair of the Department.
