UW team builds artificial enzyme
UW Chemistry professors Michael Gelb and Forrest Michael, in collaboration with Prof. David Baker (UW Biochemistry), have engineered an artificial enzyme capable of catalyzing a bimolecular Diels-Alder reaction with high stereoselectivity and substrate specificity.
