The AV301 instrument is not available for immediate use owing to the following. The shim set that gave good lineshape last week gives a poor lineshape today.  This is indicative that the insert quartz tube is broken once again.  If this turns out to be the case, we will replace the same asap and return the instrument to regular use.  Please remember that this repeated insert breakage does not pertain to a particular probehead.  The cause is still being investigated.  Until that is discovered, we may anticipate the same type of failure in the coming weeks again.  A follow up note will be posted once the instrument is up again.
