AV301 : UPDATE ON LINESHAPE PROBLEM – BROKEN PROBE PART REPLACED

The deterioration of lineshape noted by users is traced to a broken insert glass. This has been replaced and the line shape is adequately restored for the routine runs.  A further fine tuning will be done in a few days to bring it to the optimum.

We are aware the instrument reservation online system is down. It is currently being worked on. Until the reservation system is up, you can reserve your NMR time by using the sign-up sheet next to the NMR instrument you want to use.

AV500 : 31P MACRO FUNCTIONAL

Users who are used to typing ‘phosph’ and load the standard 31P {1H} decoupled parameter set are invited to use the same once again. The glitch that was preventing the pulse widths and power levels being loaded is remedied.  Any observation you make to the contrary will be much appreciated as a log post.

AV301 UPDATE : LINESHAPE OPTIMIZED

The lineshape distortions following the probe swap are addressed now.  Users are requested to load the default shim file ‘stdtxd’ before they run their NMR.  It is important to note that you must shim at the minimum the Z, Z2, X, Y gradients to get an acceptable lineshape.  The default shim file only guarantees the optimum […]
