UW CHEMISTRY NMR

The NMRJuicer Data processing workstation has been rebuilt and tested and it is ready for use.  I thank the users for their immense patience during it’s absence.

Here is a quick orientation on the salient features :

• Please use your UWNetid for login.  Once you login,  the Firefox web browser and the Topspin software automatically launch.   Web browser points to the Chemistry NMR web page
• Here is a quick view of the desktop
• 
• The Bottom Left corner of the desktop has a pull up menu as well as tabs that launch some useful applications :
  • Image Viewer (helps you visualize spectra exported from Topspin, for example)
  • Firefox web browser (if you need to start another session)
  • Acrobat  pdf reader
  • CD creator
  • Screen Shot Utility (entire desktop or individual windows can be saved and uploaded to your chosen storage in cloud)
  • gedit text editor
  • 
  • Calculator
  • 

Inside Topspin Program :

• Once the Topspin program starts, it automatically links to the logged in user’s folders in all the four spectrometers. The file browser looks like this :

• Please note that the datasets under each of these branches belong to only the logged in UWNetid.   You won’t need to create additional directories here. (the system won’t actually allow you to created further branches)
• The files you edit or process here are actually modified in the respective spectrometers.  Please pay extra attention, if you plan deleting files via NMRJuicer.

PRINTING :

• As in the past, you can either use the plot editor OR use the keyboard shortcut  :  Ctrl + P to dump active area of the spectrum displayed.
