J-Young tubes tend to shift the center of mass once you place it in the spinner, compared to regular tubes. The tube tends to wobble as it rides the air cushion,  when it descends into the magnet and sometimes the sample seating can become problematic. In AV301 this problem is a bit exacerbated currently, since the air tubing are rather worn out and they leak air sometimes.  We are in the process of changing all the ageing pneumatics tubing and AV301 should be taken care of by next week.  The sample  landing should be smooth after that.  AV300 underwent this treatment and the sample lift and spin are stable and predictable now.
