ATTENTION – AV301 USERS ! – HARDWARE UPGRADE – GRADIENT CAPABILITY IS COMING TO AV301

We are excited to announce that the AV301 instrument will get new hardware upgrade that will make it the third instrument in Bagley 37 to perform gradient assisted spectroscopy.

In combination with the ATMA-BBI probe,  this will become a fully automated spectrometer for routine spectroscopy.  Other than injecting the sample, every other operation can be done from the computer, including ‘wobb‘ and Shimming !

The entire library of gradient assisted techniques,  including solvent suppression and coherence selection for 1D, 2D and 3D methods will be available on AV301 after the upgrade.

Taking full advantage of this automation, later we will also unveil a ‘point and click’ interface that will make routine spectroscopy a breeze. Just make a few mouse clicks and you can submit a series of experiments and walk away.  The processed spectra will be mailed to you and the raw data can be downloaded as usual from your desk.

Stay tuned for further updates…
