UW CHEMISTRY NMR

After attending to the tune issue on the probe that is directly caused by users using fingers to turn the turn rods, push past the stop point of the tune rod, or using the tune tool incorrectly, the av300 BBI probe has been repaired and is returned for use.

The NMR Facility cannot stress enough the importance of using the tune tools when tuning the probes with “wobb” and if you feel a stop point, do not keep trying to turn the tune rod. Eventually, the tune rod will disengage and begin turning again, but no longer is functional.
