UW CHEMISTRY NMR

As some of you might have noticed, the Hardware Upgrade you saw in the reservation calendar pertains to upgrading the system with Gradient Shimming and 2H observe capability, that hitherto was not present. Although we had an old but functional gradient amplifier, the console was not capable of utilizing it to do  gradient shimming, which is similar to the Topshim routine we are all familiar with.   Topshim cannot run on an older Topspin 1.3 software but after this upgrade, we can perform a routine, similar to the Topshim program to automatically shim the system without the need for hand shimming.

I will post more on this, after the said upgrade is completed.
