We have tested both 13C and 31P observe with 1H decoupling and the transient spikes that were observed earlier is not present anymore.   The hardware is working as expected and a mis-adjustment in the parameter setup is identified as the main cause of the noise.

We shall keep a close watch, nevertheless.

Please note that you do not need anything more than 300 ms of AQ when you run 13C or 31P with decoupling.  The inherently large spectral resolution will afford a well resolved spectrum even with this FID length.

On the other hand, increasing the acquisition time beyond this with broadband decoupling ON, will lead to probe damage.  Please consult one of us, when in doubt. If you are convinced that a longer FID length is needed, there are workarounds to achieve that.
