UW CHEMISTRY NMR

Please remember the following.  You should make sure that the X-channel cable is connected to the correct nucleus port on the probe head, before you tune/match or observe NMR signal from that nucleus.

For instance, on AV500 :

• If you want to observe 13C, make sure that the RF cable is connected to the 13C PORT (BLUE COLOR) on the probehead.
• If you want to observe 31P, make sure that the RF cable is connected to the  31P PORT (RED COLOR) on the probehead.

Similarly, on the DRX499, you should make sure that the RF cable is connected either to 13C or 19F to run those respective experiments.
