The ATMA probe’s functionality worsened further and so the eventuality I talked about came sooner.  The Probehead has been pulled out for repairs and it is early times to tell if the same probe will be back in the magnet within a day.

What to expect :  We will either place the fixed ATMA probe (PABBI) or a surrogate BBI probe in its place.  If it is the latter, the tuning/matching has to be done by hand as I mentioned in my last post.

I will update further developments tomorrow.
