Dear Users

This is a brief update on the topic of  flaky Logbook behavior.  Thanks to the immediate efforts of our department IT support,  the Logbooks are back in action.

What more, there are two additional features I want to highlight :

• You no longer need a UWNetid based authentication to enter your comments, as long as the computer you use to access the Logbooks is within the Chemistry Department network space.  In other words,  it has to be connected to a wall ethernet anywhere in the building (as of now).  We will explore a solution to include wifi subnet in the near future.
• You can now upload a picture along with your text comment.  Many a time you have taken a snap of the desktop or the instrument vicinity with your cellphone to communicate the issues with us by email in the past.  Now, you can attach those pictures straight within the Logbook.
