Dear Users

Many of you might recall the look and feel of this Triple Resonance TBI probe when it was placed with the AV500 system, before GG500 was born.   It won’t hurt to have a refresher and familiarize oursleves with this probe, which is now paired with GG500 console.

1H NMR :

The picture below shows the Tune and Match knobs that are rotated clockwise or anti-clockwise to tune the probe for 1H detection :

PLEASE NOTE : 

• The 1H Tune knob is ‘yellow-green’ in color
• The 1H Match knob is a ‘home made’ Aluminum extension – the original broke.  We provide a separate tool to engage this knob near the magnet leg.

13C NMR :

Similarly,  the 13C has a dedicated set of knobs to ONLY Tune and Match the 13C channel : 

X – band NMR :

• All other nuclei are tuned/matched via a THIRD separate channel called the X-Channel. 
• Since we need to use this single channel to select between different nuclei, we have a ‘multiplex’ method to choose the nucleus of your interest. 
• Four digits for Tuning and Three digits for Matching – these are selected using a slider mechanism :
