ALERT ! AV301 : IMMINENT PROBE CHANGE COMING – EARLIEST ON MONDAY, 8 NOV’21
Dear NMR Users :
The X-channel of the ATMA probe has been malfunctioning, and the problem seems to have reached an unrecoverable stage. We will pull the probe out and see if this is something we can fix in-house. In that happy scenario, that ATMA probe can go back in the instrument and everyone can be happy.
If the probe needs repairs at the manufacturer, then we have to be prepared to brush up our old habits and start living with a manual tune/match and manual shimming probehead till the repair is completed.
All the effort that Adrienne and I have been directing towards you to bring you upto speed with manual shimming will now prove very valuable.
More updates will come your way, next week.
