Please refer to my earlier post on the NMR Upgrade for some continuity.

Current Status :

• NEO500 System is deployed for regular use.  Mandatory Orientations are ongoing (link to the training calendar here)

• Full deployment of OneDrive Cloud storage delayed –  FTP server phoenix.chem.washington.edu will be available till the technical issues with Azure cloud is resolved.

STAGE 3 :

• GG500 system will get its own brand new BBFO probe, which is fully automated for Tuning/Matching (ATMA) and Locking/Shimming (TOPSHIM).

• 

  • the installation will take place tomorrow, i.e. Tuesday, the 28th. 

  • After the needed calibrations and test,  it should be available for regular use from Wednesday, March 1st.

• Along with the new BBFO probe, the NMR interface will move to the IconNMR Automation Interface.  The software is pretty similar to the NEO500, but we can use only one sample at a time, since we don’t have a robot for this magnet.
