Dear Users

I am sure all of you are aware of the Planned Electrical Outage for upgrades in Bagley Hall on 28th Oct’23, Saturday.    In anticipation of the same the NMR systems will be brought down in the following manner.

• NEO500 :
  •   The system won’t be available for queueing any sample after 12 noon, Friday, 27th Oct ’23. 
  •  We will try our utmost to let samples that were queued upto 12 noon, run to completion, as long as they are the day runs that are under 60 minutes duration (see Caveat below).
  • Caveat :  Since the Nitrogen Cryoprobe needs time to be brought down gracefully, the last sample that will be processed will be decided by the time at which we will start the Probe Warmup.
• Other Instruments :
  • The last reservation of the day cannot run beyond 4 PM, Friday, the 27th.
  • Please collect your samples, latest by 4 PM on Friday, the 27th.

The instruments will be revived as soon as possible, after regular Electricity is restored to Bagley Hall on Saturday, the 28th.   Currently, we are told that, this will happen after 1 pm, Saturday, the 28th.

A separate Post will be broadcast, once all the systems are brought back to normal operational condition.  Stay tuned to this space.
