UPDATE ! GG500 – READY FOR RESERVATION AND USE

Dear NMR community

GG500 instrument is ready for use again. Please note the following :

Topshim is working nominally. For deuterium based lock solvents, which means the majority of them, the shimming happens along the Z-axis only (known fact and a feature of the spectrometer hardware).
You can start Topshim after loading the default starting shim set by entering the following on the Topspin command line : rsh iProbe
It is imperative that you touch up at least the X and Y shims to get dramatic improvement in resolution.
Barring the class of J-Young tubes, we advise you to spin all your samples to get the best possible resolution.
Your respective datafiles will be slowly populated as we transfer them from the old system starting today.
The files are available for download via the FTP://phoenix.chem.washington.edu site, as before.

Please let us know of any issues you encounter and we will try to resolve it immediately.
