UW CHEMISTRY NMR

The Topspin ICONNMR interface will be deployed starting noon tomorrow i.e. Friday, the 14th.   It is very similar to the NEO500 interface.  Here are points that are unique to GG500.

Access :

• The system will be in Full IconNMR Automation mode from Friday morning 10 AM of a given week and continue till 10 AM on Wednesday of the next week
• The system will be running via Topspin interface (as it does now)  from 10 AM on Wednesday till 10 AM on Friday of the week.
• Note : This hybrid model is being tried out, as per the recommendations of the NMR Research Services Committee.  This might change in the future.
• The NMR Reservation Calendar page will be open as usual for booking time for Wednesdays and Thursdays (only).
• For rest of the days, you can walk onto the instrument, submit the sample to the ICONNMR queue anytime.

Software :

• When you login to IconNMR Automation window,  your user name and “Change User”  button will appear as shown in the picture below.  (Contrast this with the NEO500 user interface). 
• The automation queue area is very similar to NEO500.  But the budget menu will have your unique userid attached to it.  Here is a picture to illustrate

 

Rest of the operations are similar to what you have experienced in NEO500.
