LATEST UPDATE ! GG500 and NEO500 – PLEASE NOTE

Dear Users

This is the latest on both the 500 systems.  Please note and plan accordingly.

GG500

  • GG500 will continue to serve you with the iProbe that has been in place.  This probe will NOT be removed right now.
  • Until the Prodigy Probe is back to normal state,  GG500 will continuously operate on IconNMR Automation Mode, seven days a week.

NEO500

  • We are running additional  tests to see if the Prodigy cryoprobe can be revived, albeit a low probability of success with that attempt.   In that fortunate turn of events, NEO500 will be released for full scale Automation mode after further testing and optimization

OR

  • If the probe indicates that it has to go to the maker,  then we will replace it with a room temperature (RT) double resonance probe, without ATMA capability. But, it will work with Topshim.
  • With the RT probe in place, this system will switch to fully manual operation (no IconNMR).  You have to reserve time on the instrument calendar as you are used to doing with other instruments.

Final Point :

  • With either of the scenarios above,  it won’t be until Monday the 7th, before NEO500 is released for regular use.
  • GG500 is already released for use today and you can start submitting samples for the IconNMR Automation queue.
