UPDATE ! AV700 IS BACK ONLINE – READY FOR USE
Dear Users
The long wait for resurrecting the 700 NMR is over. You will find the wait worth it, when it comes to the sensitivity and resolution of this instrument. You can start reserving NMR time via the Reservation Page here.
Let us refresh our collective memories :
- The probe is TXI-HCN with Z-gradient with following capabilities :
- The probe is designed for ATMA and TOPSHIM.
- Optimized for best 1H sensitivity
- All H-C 2D experiments are good (HSQC, HMQC, HMBC, etc.)
- 1H 2D experiments, including gradient assisted ones, can be done comfortably (gs-NOESY, gs-ROESY, gs-TOCSY, gs-DQF-COSY etc.)
- Diffusion can be measured comfortably (1.0e-09 to 5.0e-11 range)
- VT experiments : -10 deg. C to + 80 C (if you need to stay at high temperatures for long times, you should contact one of us first !)
- 13C 1D with or without 1H decoupling can be recorded. Please note that the relative 13C sensitivity will be lower than that of 1H.
- The probe is 15N capable ! If you have 15N enriched samples, you can detect signals directly. You can also use indirect methods such as (1H,15N)HSQC.
- Kinetics runs can be planned using the different “multi” helper scripts. Ask for help, if you need it.
- You can run multiple temperature runs unattended using this method. The system will do the essentials (tuning/matching, ATMA and shimming) automatically at every temperature.
- The probe is designed for ATMA and TOPSHIM.
- This probe DOES NOT have 19F capability !
- Please use the Cheat Sheet next to the instrument for quick reference. For refreshers, reach out.
- If you encounter small speed bumps along the way, please be patient and grab one of us. You can also leave a log book entry here.
The basic health of the system has been tested and the VT system is calibrated. We will nevertheless be tweaking things alongside your regular use in the coming days. If you need any help, we are here to provide that. Please feel free to reach out.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Happy Spectra Recording !
