UPDATE – NEO500 – PLEASE READ
Based on existing symptoms, we are applying some mitigating steps to the Prodigy Probe system. We will only know if the Probehead is back to normal conditions by tomorrow morning.
There are two possibilities here :
- If the remedy we applied resolved the RF related issue, we will do test runs on standard samples to make sure the Probe meets specifications. We should then be in a position to release the instrument by the end of tomorrow.
OR
- It might turn out that the Prodigy Probe needs to be sent to the manufacturer for repairs. If that is the reality,
- We will shut down the Prodigy system and remove it from the magnet
- We will replace it with a backup probe (the one that is installed in GG500) that should have automation capabilities.
- If this comes to pass, the NEO500 system will be back online only by Friday, the 4th.
- There is going to be a knock on effect of this on the GG500 system as well. That system will receive a placeholder probehead that is of a older vintage i.e. without ATMA capability.
Obviously, more details need to be communicated to you, if the second possibility above becomes the reality. Please tune in to this medium via your Inbox for further updates.
The next update will be posted tomorrow, Thursday.
