UPDATE: NEO500 RELEASE WITH TBI PROBE
The NEO500 will be released today (Wednesday, April 9) at 1:00 PM with the TBI probe installed.
CHANGE TO NORMAL USE: Because the TBI probe is a manual tune-and-match probe, all use of the NEO500 will be via reservation only. Please use the reservation page to book your time before using the instrument.
TRAINING REQUIRED: Please attend a 15- minute manual tune and match training if you haven’t had the chance to tune and match the TBI probe before. This probe was last used in the NMR Facility on the GG500 in February 2023 before the iProbe replaced it. Additionally, tuning and matching on the NEO500 is checked via the HPPR stack next to the magnet and not on the workstation monitors as with other instruments. A refresher is strongly encouraged for everyone planning to use the NEO500 with TBI probe.
Current prescheduled training sessions are:
Wednesday, April 9 at 1pm, 2:30pm, and 4pm
Thursday, April 10 at 10:30am, 11:45am, 1:30pm, and 3pm
If you need additional assistance, please let me know. I will be available for individual training on a limited basis.
AVAILABLE NUCLEI: Proton, carbon-13, and phosphorus will be available using the well-established commands “proton,” “carbon,” and “phosph.” A pop-up box will appear and you will need to check “getprosol” along with select your lock solvent.
Other nuclei, such as 7Li, 11B, and 77Se are also available but will require a few additional commands. Please contact me for further information if you wish to run one of the latter nuclei.
Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
