As far as the tests could show, the lock system is behaving as expected.  We shall keep a close watch, nevertheless. It is possible that the warmer than usual room temperature in the lab could have led to overheating of one of the circuit boards in the lock system leading to the sporadic instability reported.  We have notified physical plant about the A/C issue.

We will  try to catch the system when the malfunction occurs on a user’s sample and test it immediately on standards to ascertain facts. Please report any errors promptly.
