To tackle the recurrent issue of J-Young sample tubes getting stuck inside the magnet, we are coming up with an alternative that shows promise in addressing the issue.

J-Young Tubes  :

You must only use the ceramic spinner shown below from now on :

Regular NMR Tubes :

You must use the PEEK PLASTIC spinner shown below :

The heavier Ceramic spinner is seen to provide a better stability in Lift  DOWN/UP operations with the ‘head heavy’ J-Young tubes.  I hope that this will address the lift issues with these tubes.

You can in principle use the Ceramic spinner for ordinary tubes; but the caveat is that it takes lot more effort to insert the tube into the Ceramic spinner and for frequent sample changes, this may not be the best option.
