I am picking up from my last post on the Sample Handling change in AV700.

• If you bring a J-Young tube, please confirm its straightness with the special Aluminum tester that is atop the NMR console

• from now on, we recommend you to use only the Ceramic Spinner, which balances the center of mass closer to the spinner, thereby avoiding wobble and provides better stability.

• inserting the sample tube into this spinner takes some effort. The tube has to be inserted in a cork screw motion. Simply pushing it like you do with the regular spinner won’t work !

• Please ask either Adrienne or myself to show how to do this if you are in doubt !
