UW CHEMISTRY NMR

Over and above the simple but minimal training that is provided by the facility for the new users,  we always recognized the need for training you in some special tasks such as how to properly maneuver the Lock facility or how to Shim by hand when Topshim fails, to site as examples.

We are finally putting some concerted effort in that direction, with an initial session on :

How to shim the sample by hand – when all else fails !

The Associate Manager of the facility, Adrienne Roehrich will be the point of contact for this and you can see further updates on this from her in this space.  I hope to join the effort sometime, if the logistics permit.  My  understanding is that, in all probability we might use the Training Schedule calendar to announce these periodic special training sessions along with specific announcements here.
