UW CHEMISTRY NMR

One of the RF channels is down.  The consequence of this is as follows :

• 2H NMR will not be functional now.
• Topshim 1D on all deuterated solvents will not work.  This implies that you have to touch up the shims by hand before you proced.

Steps taken :

• We will try to revive the board in question,  in-house and resurrect the third channel. If this is not possible, the board has to be sent for repairs and the third channel won’t be available for some time.
• We will try to reconfigure the system as a two channel instrument so that 2H can be revived again.
