UW CHEMISTRY NMR

The AV700 NMR spectrometer will be receiving a new Solid State MAS NMR probehead within the next few weeks.  I will announce the finer details of this piece of equipment later. Please note that, currently the instrument is transitioned to solid state NMR mode to confirm its functionality before the new probehead is installed and tested. The instrument will be in solid state NMR mode for at least three months from today, unless otherwise noted.

The merged DRX499 console is the one that is supposed to offset the impact of this on solutions NMR users and unfortunately, unforeseen hardware issues of this old equipment has hindered its deployment earlier. The good news is that the subtle issue that caused the prolonged down time has been identified and resolved. Hoping for no further intractable issues, this instrument should be put to regular service sometime next week.
