Current Status :

  • GG500 has moved to its new permanent home.
  • The new system NEO500 installation has completed by the Bruker engineer. The system is being configured and tested for regular use.

STAGE 2

  • New NMR Resource website ChemNMR

    • Along with the hardware upgrades, we are launching a brand New One Stop NMR Resource page for UW Chemistry NMR Facility.  Here is a quick look at the starting page :
    • I will provide a link to this site via our Department of Chemistry’s NMR webpage soon.  But I welcome you to check it out by clicking here and have a first look ! (Please note that this is a work in progress; please let me know if something appears broken)
  • New DATA STORAGE (Cloud Based)

    • Beginning with GG500, we will immediately move NMR Data Storage and Retrieval to UW IT maintained Microsoft OneDrive for Business, which runs on Enterprise level Azure Cloud Storage backend.
    •  GG500 data will still be downloadable from the FTP Server Phoenix, while we ensure that the Cloud Storage and Retrieval is working as expected
    • We will slowly migrate all the other instruments’ storage to OneDrive in due course.
    • To get a taste of  the Cloud Data Storage, please check out this  page from the ChemNMR website.

You will  hear more on this exciting New Phase of our Facility in the coming days.  Stay Tuned !
